PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a neutron dosimetry element and a measuring method of neutron dose which are able to perform measurement at the same site, cause no error and no trouble in accuracy, and are fuss-free.
SOLUTION : There are provided a neutron dosimetry element primarily containing a compound represented by CaSO4 : X (where X represents rare earth or Mn, and the addition amount of X is 0.01 mol% to 1 mol% in the whole compound), and a measuring method of neutron dose using the neutron dosimetry element. The measuring method of neutron dose includes : an irradiation step of irradiating the neutron dosimetry element with a radial ray without blocking a specific ray; a thermofluorescence detection step of obtaining a glow curve by heating the neutron dosimetry element subjected to the irradiation step; and a radiation dose detection step of detecting neutron dose from the glow curve obtained. The heating speed in the thermofluorescence detection step is 0.01 to 1°C/second.
