PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth complex polymer which has sufficient heat resistance for blending into a plastic material and molding, and has satisfactory dispersibility.SOLUTION : A rare earth complex polymer contains trivalent rare earth ions, a phosphine oxide multidentate ligand, a monodentate ligand, and/or a chelate ligand, the chelate ligand is a ligand selected from a compound having a phosphine oxide group and a compound having a nitrogen atom or a sulfur atom as a ligand, a single phosphine oxide multidentate ligand is coordinated to two or more of rare earth ions and crosslinks two or more of the rare earth ions, and a single monodentate ligand and/or chelate ligand is coordinated to a single rare earth ion.
