Provided are a dielectric ceramic having a relatively high relative permittivity and excellent load life at high temperatures, and a laminated ceramic capacitor having excellent high-temperature load life and excellent reliability (life characteristics). This dielectric ceramic comprises a perovskite-type compound including Ba, Ti, Zr, and Re (at least one type of rare-earth element including La, Ce, Nd, and Sm). If x is the molar ratio, Zr/(Ti+Zr), of Zr to the total of Ti and Zr and y is the molar ratio, Re/(Ba+Re), of Re to the total of Ba and Re, (x, y) is within a region surrounded by A (0.5, 0.1), B (0.95, 0.1), C (0.95, 0.2), D (0.9, 0.2), and E (0.5, 0.35).
