PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To set a region of feature most suitable as a region used during AF adjustment, out of multiple features detected from a shooting range. SOLUTION : An image recognition device includes an image pick-up device 16 generating an image signal by imaging a flux passing through an optical system 15 repeatedly, detection means 42 for detecting a first feature in an image based on the image signal, setting means 43 for setting a position of the first feature in the image as a target position, comparison means 44 for comparing first and second features when a second feature different from the first feature is detected from an image obtained by the image pick-up device after the position of the first feature is set as the target position, out of the image signals captured repeatedly, and control means 41 for controlling the setting means to reset a position of the second feature in the image as the target position, based on comparison results of the comparison means.
