Provided in the present invention are a light-emitting material and a preparation method therefor. The light-emitting material comprises an organic complex. The organic complex consists of tetrapyrrole macrocyclic ligand A, rare earth ion Ln, and deuterated or halogenated tripod ligand B. The external quantum dot efficiency and the light emission stability of the organic complex are increased, high-efficiency near-infrared light (800-1600 nm) emission can be implemented when excited by a violet light and a blue light, and the external quantum efficiency and light-emitting service life are increased, where the external quantum efficiency can reach 0.63 or more. In addition, the selection of different rare earth ions or rare earth ion combinations allows the implementation of adjustable and controllable emission peak positions and peak width, thus improving light-emitting properties. The light-emitting material has great application prospects in the fields of optical fiber communication, bioimaging, signal conversion and amplification, and component analysis.
