The invention concerns a method for stretching perspective, wherein from vehicle sensor data and a digital map a path course located in front of the vehicle (s1, s2) is determined. Invention of a trajectory from a vehicle using vehicle sensor data is (1) based on a vehicle distance covered already recorded fixed-in-the-earth solid or coordinate system. The recorded trajectory is imaged using a statistical method such at least in the digital map, map information that are present in the vehicle or earth-fixed coordinate system. This mapping is based on the front of the vehicle (1) route course located (s1, s2) determined.
