PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a rare earth magnet capable of suppressing density non-uniformity in a compact. SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing a rare earth magnet comprises the steps of : filling a rare-earth alloy powder in a cavity of a die; making an impact on the die in a state in which a punch is not placed on an upper surface of the rare-earth alloy powder in the cavity; obtaining a compact by compressing the rare-earth alloy powder in the cavity by the punch after making an impact on the die; and sintering the compact.
