The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a carrier for water treatment of rare earth extraction wastewater, a water treatment method for rare earth extraction wastewater, a water treatment composition and a carrier using the same. According to the present invention, not only heavy metals but also other radioactive materials, arsenic, fluorine and the like can be efficiently treated in the water treatment of rare earth extraction wastewater, and waste shells of shellfish can be recycled to create added values. The method for manufacturing a carrier for water treatment of rare earth extraction wastewater comprises the steps of : a) producing a carrier for water treatment of rare earth extraction wastewater by carrying a calcined shellfish shell, a sulfur salt, methylenediphenyl diisocyanate and a polyol on a carrier base; and b) drying and classifying the carrier for water treatment of rare earth extraction wastewater produced in the step a).COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
