The ceramic joined body according to the present disclosure is provided with : a first substrate composed of ceramics; a second substrate composed of ceramics; and a joining layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The joining layer contains aluminum, calcium and/or magnesium, a rare-earth element, silicon, and oxygen. Of the 100 mass% of all components constituting the joining layer, aluminum is contained in an amount of 33-65 mass% in terms of oxide thereof, calcium and the magnesium are contained in a total amount of 27-60 mass% in terms of oxides thereof, and the rare-earth element is contained in an amount of 2-12 mass% in terms of oxide thereof. Further, in the joining layer, the silicon content in terms of oxide thereof is greater at the surface of the joining layer than that in the interior of the joining layer.
