PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dispersion in which LnTiOparticles are highly dispersed.SOLUTION : There is provided a dispersion which comprises a powder composed of a rare earth titanate represented by LnTiO(wherein, Ln represents a rare earth element), an organic solvent, and an anionic surfactant. The anionic surfactant is preferably a carboxylic acid-based surfactant, a sulfonic acid-based surfactant or a phosphoric acid-based surfactant. The refractive index when the concentration of the powder composed of the rare earth titanate is adjusted to be 5 mass% is preferably N+1×10or more and N+1×10or less.
