The outer surfaces of the inner walls of the plurality of outlet channels comprise a thin layer of at least one composition of the wall outlet coating comprising at least one refractory metal oxide, optionally a stabilized rare earth metal oxide. Coatings of the inlet and outlet channels may contain at least one catalytically active metal selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, iridium, rhodium, silver, gold, mixtures of any two or more thereof. The outlet coating length along the axis is greater than the inlet coating length along the axis.
