A method of manufacturing a rare earth permanent magnet having an excellent magnetic property according to an embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an R-T-B type rare earth permanent magnet, which includes : a preparing step of preparing a permanent magnet master alloy by melting an R-T-B type alloy; a crushing step of preparing permanent magnet powder by crushing the permanent magnet master alloy; a forming step of preparing a permanent magnet forming body by pressing the permanent magnet powder while pressing a magnetic field to the permanent magnet powder in an inert atmosphere; a sintering step of manufacturing a sintered magnet forming body whose oxygen content is 0.1wt% or less by sintering the permanent magnet forming body in a vacuum atmosphere; and a diffusing step of manufacturing the rare earth permanent magnet by diffusing Dy and Tb into the sintered magnet forming body.
