PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing rare earth magnet powder capable of stably obtaining rare earth magnet having excellent coercive force.
SOLUTION : The manufacturing method includes the steps of : melting R1-M alloy 50; diffusing R1 in the melt of R1-M alloy 50 into the magnetic powder 60 by bringing the magnetic powder 60 containing a transition metal element into contact with the R*1-M alloy 50 melt. R1 is a rare-earth element, and M is a metal element that makes the melting point of R1-M alloy 50 lower than the melting point of R1. While stirring the melt 70, the magnetic powder 60 is brought into contact with the melt 70.
