The use of deprotonated phenyl-bridged β-ketimine lithium coordination complex in a cyanosilicate reaction is disclosed. In the coordination complex, each β-ketimine unit is a double negative ion. A double negative ion β-ketimine group is a group having very high reactivity and can, for example, react with small molecules containing reactive hydrogen and with unsaturated bonded organic small molecules. The coordination complex may also function as a precursor for further synthesis of a double negative ion β-ketimine rare earth metal coordination complex. Use of the coordination complex in cyanosilicate reaction of a carbonyl group compound allows for the reaction temperature to be room temperature, and allows for highly effective carbonyl group compound and TMSCN reduction within a very short reaction time.
