PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sintered magnet capable of obtaining high magnetic coercive force even if the use amount of heavy rare-earth elements is made less.SOLUTION : A sintered magnet is composed of 29.5 to 33.0 mass% of R (R contains one of Nd and Pr without fail), 0.7 t0 0.95 mass% of B, 0.03 to 0.6 mass% of Al, 0.01 to 1.5 mass% of Cu, 3.0 mass% or less of Co (where, 0 mass% is not contained), 0.1 to 1.0 mass% of Ga, 0.05 to 0.3 mass% of C, 0.03 to 0.4 of mass% O, 0.03 to 1.5 mass% of Zr, and the balance consisting of Fe and the other elements. In the sintered magnet, a phase containing Zr, B and C is formed.
