PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of recovering valuable metals from waste nickel hydrogen batteries which achieves cost reduction of the whole process by establishing a process bypassing a nickel refining process and is improved in safety.SOLUTION : In a neutralization step S13, an oxidizer is added to and then a neutralizer is added to a liquid with a rare earth element removed, which is obtained in a rare earth crystallization step S12, to keep the pH of the liquid with a rare earth element removed to 4.5-6.0 so as to obtain a mixed aqueous solution with an impurity removed and containing nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate, and recover them as valuable metals.
