PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth iron bonded magnet whose initial demagnetization is less, not requiring stabilizing annealing after magnetization and capable of adjusting surface magnetic flux density of a permanent magnet in a wide range.SOLUTION : Disclosed is a rare earth iron bonded magnet which is magnetized by arranging a permanent magnet for magnetization in the vicinity of the rare earth iron bonded magnet which is a body to be magnetized, decreasing the temperature of the body to be magnetized from the temperature which is equal to or more than the curie temperature thereof and less than the curie temperature of the permanent magnet for magnetization to the temperature which is less than the curie temperature of the body to be magnetized, and continuing to apply a magnetization magnetic field to the body to be magnetized by the permanent magnet for magnetization during that period. Sm-Fe-N isotropic magnet powder is used as a magnetic component of the rare earth iron bonded magnet.
