PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electric motor that has demagnetization strength even when the amount of Dy (dysprosium) contained in a rare earth magnet for use in the electric motor is reduced. SOLUTION : An electric motor relating to the present invention is an electric motor with 8 poles that has a rotor using a neodymium rare earth magnet including iron, neodymium, boron and 3 wt.% or less of dysprosium.
