FIELD : chemistry.
SUBSTANCE : phosphogypsum raw materials are treated in the reactor with a mixed solution of sulfuric and phosphoric acids to produce liquid and solid phases. The resulting material is separated into a solid phase and a liquid phase in the form of the first filtrate. The solid phase is treated with water to form a slurry, which is separated into a solid phase in the form of a washed gypsum-containing material and a liquid phase in the form of the second filtrate. The first and the second filtrates are combined to produce an acidic solution. The acidic solution is successively passed through an ion exchange filter with a cation exchanger to concentrate rare-earth elements on it and through an ion exchange filter with an anion exchanger to concentrate radioactive elements on it and further concentrate rare-earth elements. Residual acid filtrate is used as the first component of the two-component target product. The washed gypsum-containing material is mixed with magnesium silicate of natural origin and used as the second component of the two-component target product.
EFFECT : method allows to increase the recovery of rare-earth and radioactive elements with producing a higher level of ecological safety of the produced product.
