PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth magnet production method allowing for production of a rare-earth magnet with an excellent magnet characteristic even with an increased relative density.
SOLUTION : The rare-earth magnet production method is provided that comprises : a preparation step of preparing a base powder composed of a rare earth-iron-based alloy including a rare earth element and an iron group element; a hydrogenation step of producing hydrogenated powder by applying a hydrogenation processing to the base powder at a temperature of disproportionation temperature or higher in an atmosphere including hydrogen; a granulation step of producing granulated powder obtained by consolidating powder particles of the hydrogenated powder by plastic deformation; a molding step of producing a molded article by applying pressure molding to the granulated powder; and a dehydrogenation step of applying a dehydrogenation processing to the molded article at a temperature of a re-coupling temperature or higher in the inert atmosphere or a reduced pressure atmosphere thereby producing a re-coupled material.
