Disclosed are a synthetic wood using waste plastic and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention comprises : a primary drying step (S100) of inserting fibers into a mixer, preheated at 140-160° C, and then, drying the fibers up to 2-4% of moisture content through a dehumidifier; a smashing step (S200) of smashing the fibers through a smasher at 20~120 mesh; a primary mixture manufacturing step (S300) of manufacturing a primary mixture by mixing 40-60 parts by weight of fibers, 2-4 parts by weight of fly ash, 1-3 parts by weight of rare earth soil, 1-3 parts by weight of sericite, and 1-4 parts by weight of red clay based on 100 parts by weight of a final mixture; a secondary drying step (S400) of drying the primary mixture up to 2-4% of moisture content; a final mixture manufacturing step (S500) of manufacturing the final mixture by mixing 30-50 parts by weight of polymer resin and 0-15 parts by weight of bio-degradable polymer with the primary mixture based on 100 parts by weight of the final mixture; and a tertiary drying step (S600) of drying the final mixture up to 2-4% of moisture content.
