PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet which is superior in magnetization and coercive force at a high temperature as well as an atmospheric temperature.
SOLUTION : A rare earth magnet has a main phase and a subphase. The main phase has a ThMn12 type crystal structure. The subphase includes at least any of a Sm5Fe17 based phase, a SmCo5 based phase, a Sm2O3 based phase, and a Sm7Cu3 based phase. Supposing that the volume of the rare earth magnet is 100%, the volume fraction of the subphase is 2.3-9.5%, and the volume fraction of an α-Fe phase is 9.0% or less. The rare earth magnet has a density of 7.0 g/cm3 or more.
