FIELD : oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE : method of preparation of a cracking catalyst involves carrying out ion exchanges for the cations of rare earth elements and ammonium in NaY zeolite, two stages of ultrastabilisation of the zeolite in the water vapor medium, mixing the zeolite with the matrix, obtaining the composition, spray drying the resulting composition followed by calcination and obtaining a catalyst. The matrix as components includes bentonite clay, aluminium hydroxide and amorphous aluminosilicate. In this case, ion exchange of sodium cations in the zeolite for cations of magnesium or calcium cations without intermediate filtration is carried out prior to the first stage of ultrastabilisation. The obtained zeolite Y contains, in wt % : sodium oxide not more than 0.6, rare earth oxides 0.5-5.5, magnesium oxide 0.5-4.0 or calcium oxide 1.0-7.0. The catalyst contains, in wt % : rare earth oxides of 0.1-1.1, sodium oxide less than 0.23, magnesium oxide from the zeolite component 0.1-0.8, or calcium oxide from the zeolite component 0.2-1.4 wt %.
EFFECT : increased thermostability of catalysts with respect to their catalytic properties.
