PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a titanium material for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell, excellent in moldability.
SOLUTION : There is provided a titanium alloy containing, by mass%, a platinum element : 0.005% to 0.15%, a rare earth element : 0.001 to 0.06% and the balance Ti with impurities. The titanium alloy has average crystal particle diameter of an α phase of 5 to 25 μm and contains a β phase of 0.1 to 10% by area percentage in the α phase. The titanium alloy may contain one or more kind of Ni : 1.0% or less, Mo : 0.5% or less, V : 0.5% or less, Cr : 0.5% or less and W : 0.5% or less instead of a part of Ti.
