PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a substituted cyanophenylpyrene derivative with high color purity and of high efficiency; a light-emitting material comprising the derivative; and an organic electroluminescent element using the derivative.SOLUTION : There is disclosed a substituted cyanophenylpyrene derivative expressed by formula (1), where in formula, Rto Rare each a group independently selected from H and a 1-6C linear or branched alkyl group; A is a group represented by formula (a); and Band Bare each a group independently selected from an optionally substituted phenyl group and an optionally substituted naphthyl group.
