PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an R-T-B based sintered magnet which has high HcJ and high Hk/HcJ, while reducing the content of RH. SOLUTION : An R-T-B based sintered magnet contains R (R is at least one of rare earth elements, and necessarily includes Nd. R may contain at least one selected from among Dy, Tb, Gd and Ho with a content of less than 2 mass%) : 32.0-34.0 mass%, B : 0.90-0.98 mass%, Ga : 0.60-1.10 mass%, Cu : 0.20-0.35 mass%, Ti : 0.15-0.28 mass%, and Al : 0.05-0.50 mass%, with the remainder T (T is Fe or Fe and Co) and unavoidable impurities, and has a composition that satisfies the following formula (1). 0.06≤[(Fewt/Feat)+(Cowt/Coat)+(Alwt/Alat)]-14×[(Bwt/Bat)-2×(Tiwt/Tiat)] (1) SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1 COPYRIGHT : (C)2017, JPO&INPIT
