The purpose of the present invention is to simplify the production process for a rare earth sintered magnet and reduce the production cost thereof remarkably. This process for producing a rare earth sintered magnet is a process which comprises filling an alloy powder into a sintering mold, subjecting the alloy powder to magnetic orientation, putting the sintering mold filled with the resulting alloy powder in a sintering furnace, and heating the alloy powder and thus forming a sintered body, and which is characterized in that the sintering mold is consumed during the sintering. Namely, the sintering mold is made of a resin or a mixture of a resin with a substance (such as filler) which does not vanish during sintering, thus being disposable. The sintering mold has, in the inside, a partition which is consumed during sintering, so that the sintering mold makes it possible to produce multiple sintered bodies simultaneously. The substance, which is contained in the resin and which does not vanish during sintering, remains even after the sintering mold and the partition have lost the shapes, thus inhibiting the fusion bonding between the sintered bodies.
