PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an absorbent pad that is superior in persistence of a deodorization effect, and includes the function for deodorizing a sulfur malodorous material such as a hydrogen sulphide and methyl mercaptan and also a malodorous material such as a lower fatty acid or a body odor component.SOLUTION : An absorbent pad of the present invention makes an absorber 1 or a sheet 2 covering the outside hold a glassy deodorant 9 comprising alkaline-alkaline earth-borosilicate glass containing a copper component or alkaline-alkaline earth-silicate glass containing the copper component. The absorbent pad has a function of decomposing a malodorous ingredient by the catalyst action of the copper component held in glass.
