PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a permanent magnet capable of preventing reduction of output of a rotary electric machine which performs variable speed drive from a low speed rotation to a high speed operation. SOLUTION : The permanent magnet has a composition containing at least one element selected from rare-earth elements. The residual magnetization is 1.16T or more.
