PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of 3-butene-1-ol by a dehydration reaction of 1, 4-butanediol without using expensive rare earth oxide and with using an inexpensive catalyst to suppress generation of by-product and efficiently manufacturing 3-butene-1-ol.
SOLUTION : In a method of manufacturing 3-butene-1-ol from 1, 4-butanediol by a dehydration reaction in presence of a catalyst, a catalyst by carrying two components of calcium oxide and zirconium oxide by a monoclinic crystal zirconium oxide and having impregnation percentage of the calcium oxide to the total catalyst weight of 0.1 wt.% or more and less than 12 wt.% and impregnation percentage of carried zirconium oxide of 0.1 wt.% or more and less than 6 wt.%.
