PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a radiation monitor that can easily and correctly measure a dose rate of radiation as suppressing a hazardous possibility such as an explosion, and can also measure a temperature of radiation light emitting elements.
SOLUTION : A radiation monitor M1 of the present invention comprises : a radiation light emitting element 10 that contains a rare earth element, and emits light of a plurality of wavelengths by an incident radiation; a fiber optic 20 that transmits the light emitted from the radiation light emitting element 10; an electric pulse converter 30 that converts the transmitted light into an electric pulse for each wavelength; an electric pulse detector 40 that measures a counting rate of the electric pulse for each wavelength using the electric pulse transmitted from the electric pulse converter 30; and an analysis machine 50 that collates the counting rate of the electric pulse measured for each wavelength, with a relation of a counting rate of a photon with respect to a temperature of the radiation light emitting element 10 and a dose rate of the radiation, which are preliminarily stored in a database, and thereby calculates the dose rate of the radiation and the temperature of the radiation light emitting element 10.
