PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To acquire a novel microorganism having capability of selectively eluting rare-earth elements which are dysprosium (Dy), neodymium (Nd) and praseodymium (Pr) in particular contained in iron residue derived from a magnet. SOLUTION : A mixed microorganism having capability of selectively eluting rare-earth elements from a substance containing rare-earth elements contains at least Acidithiobacillus albertensis, Acidithiobacillus caldus and Sphingomonas leidyi, in which a ratio of Acidithiobacillus albertensis is 85% or more, a ratio of Acidithiobacillus caldus and Sphingomonas leidyi is severally from 0.3% to 0.8%.
