PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : silicone compounds which include a prescribed number of silicon atoms, have excellent compatibility with (meth)acryl monomers, in particular, fluorine substituent-containing (meth)acryl monomers imparting stain resistance, are suitable as ophthalmic monomers, and can provide polymers excellent in colorless transparency, oxygen permeability and mechanical strength for use in contact lenses; and methods for producing the compounds, in particular, methods for producing the compounds with high purity.SOLUTION : The present invention provides compounds represented by the formula (1), and methods for producing the compounds. (m is an integer between 2 and 10; n is 1 or 2; Ris a C1-4 alkyl group; and Rare each independently H or a methyl group.)
