PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a capacitor which can retain a high electrostatic capacitance even with a voltage applied thereto at a high temperature.SOLUTION : A capacitor comprises a dielectric layer 5 composed of a dielectric ceramic including first crystal grains 9A containing barium titanate as a primary component, and second crystal grains 9B of strontium zirconate, and containing at least one rare earth element (RE) selected from a group consisting of terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium and gadolinium. The first crystal grains 9A include at least two kinds of crystal grains 9a and 9b having a difference of 0.1 atom% or larger therebetween in the concentration of the rare earth element (RE) at a depth of 20 nm from a grain boundary.
