PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a recovery method and a recovery device of valuable metal from waste nickel hydrogen battery establishing a process of bypass of nickel refining process and reducing the number of times of filtration treatment, achieving simplification of whole process, reducing cost and further enhancing safety or recovery efficiency.
SOLUTION : In a demanganization process S13, an oxidant is added to a mixed slurry obtained in a rare earth crystallization process S12 to set oxidation reduction potential of the mixed slurry at 800 mV (Ag/AgCl electrode basis) or more and further pH of the slurry at 1.5 to 2.5 to obtain a mixture solution containing nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate from which manganese is removed, and the mixture solution is recovered as valuable metal.
