PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve the problem in which, since a rare earth magnet is easily corroded under high temperature and high humidity and magnetic characteristics are degraded, it is typical to apply a corrosion prevention film such as painting, and with the typical painting, pinholes are easily generated and a film thickness of several μm to several tens μm is necessary.
SOLUTION : By making a film molecule having at a terminal a fluorinated alkyl group and a chlorosilane group react with a hydrophilic group on a surface of a rare earth magnet in a solution or a gas phase, a monomolecular film of a thickness of several nm is formed. Since it is an extremely thin pinhole-less corrosion prevention film, a magnet dimension can be utilized at the maximum and a film can be easily formed at gaps of a compression molded resin bond magnet and such.
