To provide a lap tool which has high polishing efficiency and excellent wear resistance.SOLUTION : A lap tool is made of FCV cast iron which contains graphite and has a tensile strength of 300 MPa or more, and the graphite has a width of 6 to 80 μm and a length of 20 to 500 μm, and is contained at a density of 80 pieces/mm2 or more. Further, the FCV cast iron contains, by mass%, C (carbon) of 3.0% or more and 4.0% or less, Si (silicon) of 2.0% or more and 3.0% or less, Mn (manganese) of less than 1.0%, P (phosphorus) of 0.10% or less, S (sulfur) of 0.01% or more and 0.02% or less, Cu (copper) of 1.0% or less, Mg (magnesium) of 0.01% or more and 0.02% or less, and RE (rear earth element) of 0.03% or more and 0.08% or less, and the remainder comprises Fe (iron) and inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1
