PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for specifying magnetic characteristics of a rare-earth magnet, capable of highly accurately specifying magnetic characteristics of a rare-earth magnet by comprehensively determining the influence of a plurality of microstructures constituting a magnet.SOLUTION : In a method for specifying magnetic performance of a rare-earth magnet M, a crystal structure is classified into A : an equiaxial grain structure, B : a sheared orientation structure, C : an oxide/nitride structure, and D : a flat grain orientation structure, and a residual magnetization : Br is specified by the following formula : Br=Br(A)+Br(B)+Br(C)+Br(D), where Br(A) is volume% of structure A×degree of orientation of structure A+main phase rate×theoretical maximum Br value, Br(B) is volume% of structure B×degree of orientation of structure B+main phase rate×theoretical maximum Br value, Br(C) is volume% of structure C×0, and Br(D) is volume% of structure D×degree of orientation of structure D+main phase rate×theoretical maximum Br value.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1COPYRIGHT : (C)2016, JPO&INPIT
