According to an embodiment of the present invention, an imaging device using multiple lenses includes : a compound eye through which a sensing image is obtained by the lenses; a measurement matrix storage unit storing at least one measurement matrix; and an image restoring unit restoring an image from the sensing image by a digital signal processing technique using sparse representation by using the at least one measurement matrix. According to the present invention, the imaging device capable of increasing the resolution of an image while showing the features of a wide viewing angle without distortion, an infinite depth, and quick motion recognition using the compound eye structure can be obtained.
