PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a tungsten wire material excellent in strength and durability which copes with external power such as impact or vibration even through a recrystallization process needed for a light source, a heat source and a constructional material. SOLUTION : There is provided a tungsten wire material which is a wire member where neodymium oxide (Nd2O3) is dispersed in tungsten (W) and has an average diameter of the wire member of 2 mm or less. There is provided a tungsten wire where less than 50 mass% of Nd2O3 in 100 mass% of the Nd2O3 dispersed in W is substituted by at least one of oxide of potassium and oxide of rare earth elements excluding neodymium.
