[Problem] To provide a ceramic emitter that exhibits high radiation intensity and excellent wavelength selectivity. [Solution] Provided is a ceramic emitter which is characterized by being provided with a polycrystal having a Garnet structure represented by the compositional formula R3Al5O12 (R is a rare earth element) or R3Ga5O12 (R is a rare earth element) and having pores with a porosity of 20-40%, and characterized in that the pores have portions that are connected, but not linearly connected, inside the polycrystal.
