PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth sintered magnet having a highly plate film adhesion and superior magnetic characteristics.SOLUTION : The rare earth sintered magnet 10 includes : a magnet body containing rare-earth compound; and a plating film containing nickel or nickel alloy thereon. The containing coefficient of a heavy rare-earth element in a surface part of the magnet body is higher than that inside the magnet body surrounded by the surface part.
