Provided are up-conversion nanowires and a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The method involves the use of a co-precipitation method for the first time, by regulating and controlling conditions such as the oleic acid content, the fluorine ion content and the reaction time to prepare the up-conversion nanowires K 2 YF 5 : 18% Yb/2% Er with a consistent shape and a uniform size, which further emits light strongly under the excitation of near-infrared light. In the method, a rare earth element acetate, as a precursor, is used to prepare the up-conversion material, and the nanowire morphology can be regulated and controlled by adjusting the oleic acid ratio, the fluorine ion concentration and the reaction time. The one-dimensional nanowires prepared by means of the technique have a high flexibility, can be bent without breaking, have a good ductility and tensile properties, and can be applied to flexible optical devices, etc.
