PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an easy-to-produce magnetic material having excellent magnetic characteristics.SOLUTION : There is provided a magnetic material produced by mixing magnetic powder and an amorphous metal containing a rare earth element, iron and boron in which the atomic ratio of rare earth element is 22 to 44 atom%, and the atomic ratio of boron is 6 to 28 atom%, and then heating the mixture at a temperature equal to or greater than a temperature lower by 30°C than the crystallization temperature (Tx) of the amorphous metal, or at a temperature equal to or greater than the glass transition temperature (Tg) thereof when the amorphous metal is a metal glass. Such a magnetic material enables users to secure high magnetic characteristics by a simple production method.
