PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder superior in surface stability and having a particularly high magnetic property by powdering, in a particular condition, magnet alloy coarse powder obtained by a reduction diffusing method; a composition for bond magnet arranged by use of such powder; and a bond magnet. SOLUTION : Rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder is obtained by powdering magnet coarse powder including 23.0-25.0 mass% of a rare earth element, and 3.0-3.6 mass% of N with the balance consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities, which is manufactured by a reduction diffusing method, provided that in the powdering, ceramic balls of which the ball diameters are over 1 to 10 mm are used as powdering media. The rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder has an average particle diameter (D50) of 2.0-2.5 μm, and has a magnetic property, in which Br is 1.3 T or larger, iHc is 970 kA/m or larger, Hk is 500 kA/m or larger, and (BH)max is 290 kJ/m3 or larger.
