The present invention relates to a sheet consisting of a novel magnesium alloy having a calcium component, which, together with the specifically matched rolling process, potentially has very good forming properties. Only through use of calcium as a substitute for rare earth metals is more economically viable production of magnesium sheet alloys enabled.
