The present invention relates to a dendrimer type hyperbranched polymer, comprising a repeating unit which selectively binds to specific metal ions, such as cobalt or rubidium. The dendrimer type hyperbranched polymer has a chemical structure similar to dendrimers, but can be produced in large quantity due to a simple producing process. An adsorbent can selectively separate the specific metal ions such as cobalt or rubidium using the hyperbranched polymer, and thus can be used in recollecting rare metals having high purity from natural resources such as sea water and waste water.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
