PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a super hard alloy baseplate outer circumference cutting blade which can produce a super hard alloy baseplate outer circumference cutting blade with extremely high cost performance, where employing of the blade makes it possible to finish a workpiece with accurate dimensions only by cutting and thus omit a post-processing step after the cutting, thereby allowing a rare-earth magnet having high dimensional accuracy to be provided at low cost.
SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing super hard alloy baseplate outer circumference cutting blade comprises : disposing a permanent magnet near the outer circumferential edge of a baseplate 10 which is formed from a super hard alloy and has a thin circular ring shape, and magnetically attracting and holding diamond abrasive grains and/or cBN abrasive grains near an outer circumferential edge of the baseplate 10 by a magnetic field formed by the permanent magnet, the diamond abrasive grains and/or cBN abrasive grains being pre-coated with a magnetic material; connecting between the abrasive grains and between the abrasive grains and the baseplate by electroplating or electroless plating so as to fix the abrasive grains to the outer circumferential edge of the baseplate to form a cutting blade 20; and impregnating in gaps between the abrasive grains and between the abrasive grains a metal and/or alloy with a melting point of 350°C or less and a Poisson ratio of 0.3 to 0.48.
