A method for reducing rare earth element is disclosed. The method for reducing rare earth element of the present invention includes : a step of inserting rare earth chloride, LiCl, and KCl into an electrolytic bath; a step of reducing a rear earth element through an electric energy; and a step of inserting the reduce rare earth element in a crucible and vacuum refining the rare earth element.
