Provided is a multilayer ceramic capacitor with excellent water tolerance. In a ceramic layer (11) for an inner layer, a main component is a perovskite compound containing Ba and Ti. Connection part neighborhood (30, 32) of inner electrodes (12, 13) and external electrodes (20, 22) is mapped and analyzed by an energy dispersion method among a part (28) of the ceramic layer (11) for an inner layer which is electrically active contained in inner electrodes (12, 13). If the total distance of a ceramic grain boundary detected from a TEM transmission phase is L1, the total distance of a grain boundary wherein rare earth elements exist detected from a mapped image and the TEM transmission phase is L2, and the total distance of a part wherein the grain boundary wherein rare earth elements exist detected from the mapped image and the TEM transmission phase and a grain boundary wherein elements other than Ba, Ca, Sr, Ti, Zr, O, and Ni exist are overlapped is L3, a relational expression which is ((L2-L3)/L1)× 100>=50 is satisfied.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
